Photos: 7 summer Signings who scored or Gave an Assist on their league debuts for their now team.

The 2021/2022 season has kicked off across Europe’s top five leagues. Big teams like Bayern Munich, Chelsea,Real Madrid, Liverpool and the rest have already kicked off their new season’s campaign on high notes. Serie A which began on Sunday August 22 saw Juventus drawing 2-2 with Udinese FC,after Cristiano Ronaldo’s 94′ minute winner was cancelled by VAR.

In the Premier League, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Southampton, Liverpool beat Brentford 2-0, Manchester City sent five goals past Norwich City,while Chelsea thrashed Arsenal 2-0.

The La Liga Santander has also seen some wild results this week,as Atletico Bilbao held FC Barcelona to a 1-1 draw,while Levante also drew 3-3 with Real Madrid despite a Vinicius Jr’s brace. Memphis Depay also rescued a point for the Blaugranas with a Sergio Roberto 78′ minute assist.

Apart from the usual league games,some top European clubs also spent a lot of money during this current summer transfer window,as the head coaches hoped to strengthen their squads and add to their squad depth.

After all current transfers completed this season already,checkout top summer signings who scored or registered an assist for their new clubs on their league debuts;

1. Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea)

The Belgian forward who returned to Stamford Bridge after 7 years scored the opener for Chelsea against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday August 22,as the Blues got the better of the Gunners.

The Thomas Tuchel men went on to double their lead,at the same time getting more possession on the ball. A 35′ minute Reece James goal saw Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 at the London derby.

2. Achraf Hakimi (PSG)

On his league debut against Troyes FC,former Inter Milan right back, Achraf Hakimi scored the equalizer of the game before helping his team to a 2-1 emphatic win.

The highly rated right back was signed for €60 million from Inter Milan by PSG,and will be expected to deliver a lot of assists for his new club.

3. Tammy Abraham (AS Roma)

In yesterday’s Serie A game against Fiorentina, former Chelsea forward and new AS Roma striker,Tammy Abraham registered two assists. After being under Jose Mourinho for about two years,the youngster had the chance to link up with him again at Roma,and will hope to dazzle brilliantly at his new club.

4. Edin Dzeko (Inter Milan)

Yesterday, Inter Milan started the journey to their league title defence with an emphatic 4-0 win over Genoa FC. New summer signing,Edin Dzeko scored a goal and registered an assist to help his team move comfortably on top of the table.

After his summer move to join current Serie A champions Edin Dzeko will hope to perform brilliantly and help his team further in their league title defence.

5. Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter Milan)

Just like Edin Dzeko,Cahan Calhanoglu also scored a brilliant free kick goal against Genoa in their 4-0 thumping of the Italian team. The two summer signings, Calhanoglu and Dzeko marked their Serie A league debut with two goals and two assists to their names.

6. David Alaba (Real Madrid)

Former FC Bayern Munich left back,David Alaba registered an assist in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Deportivo Alaves in their first La Liga game of the season. The highly rated 27 year old left back wiped in a cross to find Vinicius Junior,who finished comfortably.

Real Madrid’s fans will hope this good run continues despite the recent draw with Levante FC in the weekend.

7. Danny Ings (Aston Villa)

Former Southampton player,Danny Ings scored a sensational bicycle kick for his new team Aston Villa FC,on his league debut against Newcastle United.

The highly rated player came to help fill the boots left by Jack Grealish,who recently left to join the Citizens,and hopefully play Champions League football.
